Disclaimer

I am many things; a husband, a father, an entrepreneur, and a recovering pastor/evangelical. I perceive the grandiose and the minutia through these experiences. Much of what you'll find here is ontological reveries as I journal for my therapy and perhaps leave another layer of Dad's perspective for my children. I believe that most of what passes as "Christianity", "church", and "faith" has been hijacked by a culture of grievance and victimhood that capitalizes on anxiety and exhaustion. I believe faith is freedom in belonging to the creator and through the person and work of Jesus Christ in the good news of his word and his work. Relieved from the treadmill of religious and secular moralism I'm embracing a more enthralling reality, something more than the binary of good vs bad. There is darkness, there is light, there is ugly, there is beauty, there is sadness, there is joy, there is slavery, there is freedom; there is more to the story. These are just some of the concepts and categories from which I think and write. But I welcome all to participate or just to read another perspective.
